Real Madrid Game

My professor got us all tickets to a football game between Real Madrid and Sporting (from Lisbon, Portugal). The seats were fantastic. We were down right above the goal maybe a third of the way up through the stands. It was the perfect vantage point for seeing the plays but getting to see a lot of the fun action.
The feeling of excitement and passion at the game was incredible. It was absolutely electrifying and I got really into the game. The game was great. Real Madrid had possession of the ball about 65% of the time, but at halftime the score was still 0-0. At about 55 minutes, Sporting made a goal. When there were just five minutes left in the game (not including stop time), I remember thinking to myself "This has been really really fun, but it kinda stinks to possibly only go to one professional soccer game and not even score one goal." Just seconds after that thought, Ronaldo curved one in head on. It was amazing. The entire stadium roared with enthusiasm and we all started jumping up and down and singing along to the Madrid fight song.
We thought the game would end in a tie, but just two minutes into the stop time Madrid got one last goal. We were all so excited. After just another minute of play, the stadium broke out into cheers and the chant "Así, así, así gana Madrid" (And so Madrid wins). We were all so happy and excited, and after a long hard, but riveting, game, the better team won out.

  1. This may make me sound old, but what's with the hand symbol you do in all your photos? Is that ASL "I love you"?
